WOLVENHOEK VINEYARDS
OLD VINES AND HOWLING WOLVES
WOLVENHOEK IS A
BOUTIQUE WINERY
Wolvenhoek Vineyards lies at the foot of the luscious green hill, the Groenberg, in Wellington. The family-owned farm is part of the Old Vine Project and boasts 47-38-year old vineyards of which we make easy-drinking and premium wines.
The Groenberg or Emerald Hill protects the vines from the wind that howls like a wolf through the mountains and creates a unique cool temperature in the hot Wellington area. It is a testament to the distinctive character of the Groenberg and the underrated capacity of Wellington old vines.
OLD VINES
Our vineyards are part of the Old Vine Project, which safeguards vineyards that are 30+ years old. This protection results in unique organoleptic qualities in our wines.
HOWLING WOLVES
The Cape wind, howling like a wolf between our vineyards and the Groenberg mountain gave our farm its name. With the wolves as our guides, we are the messengers of our terroir.
BABA YETU
The wine that connects us all.
A tribute to the power of family and our common roots in Africa.
These wines appropriately blend the freshness of our younger vines with the richness of the older vines.
